Opportunity
We are actively seeking a Technical Analyst, a pivotal role in our organization that is tasked with providing superior end-user support. This is a full time position located in Calgary. This role is particularly hands-on, requiring the resolution of intricate hardware and software issues, supporting a variety of end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals. Additionally, the role also involves support for boardroom audio/visual equipment, all whilst ensuring a positive user experience, whether the support is provided in-person, over the phone, or remotely.
The Technical Analyst III will also work in close collaboration with other teams, end-users, and vendors, playing an instrumental role in ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of IT services and systems. This role calls for a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and an adeptness at managing multiple tasks effectively - all aimed at ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Responsibilities:
- The role demands a knack for analyzing and resolving intricate IT problems, providing swift and effective end-user support to keep our operations running.
- As a documenter, the individual will record technical issues, solutions, and procedures, contributing to our knowledge base for future reference.
- Upholding AIMCo's high level of professionalism and ethical conduct, they will ensure compliance with our organization's policies, procedures, and standards.
- Empowering end-users through training and guidance is a key aspect of this role, enhancing their understanding and utilization of IT systems.
- The individual will manage our organization's ticketing system, logging and tracking incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
- After-hours support is expected, requiring the individual to be on-call to keep our IT systems operational round the clock.
- Develop, test, and deploy software packages for distribution to end user devices across the organization.
- Create and maintain scripts for automation of tasks, system management, and application deployment.
- Support with onboarding and offboarding tasks of employees, including device setup, application access, training etc.
- Assist in IT projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise as needed.
- Support and troubleshoot audio visual equipment, meeting / boardroom support.
- The individual will escalate issues beyond their resolution capability to the appropriate internal teams or vendors, ensuring every problem is addressed by the most competent individuals.
- Finally, fostering a spirit of collaboration with team members is crucial, as this harmonious team effort helps maintain efficiency and deliver top-tier services that AIMCo is known for.
- This role will be required to be in person at our Calgary Office 5 days a week
Our Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Certification or pursuit of certification in the Information Technology industry (COMPTIA A+, MD-102, AZ-900, SC-900 etc.)
- ITIL certification is considered an asset
- 5 - 7 years of industry experience
- Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues
- Experience providing audio-visual (AV) support for meetings and day-to-day operations.
- Familiarity with PowerShell for task automation and application deployments.
- Knowledge of Enterprise tools like Office 365, SCCM, Intune (including Windows AutoPilot), PDQ and others enterprise tools will be considered an asset.
- Experience in print management, troubleshooting and support
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS, mobile devices, and common software applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality customer service and support

Success Measures:
- You have developed a good understanding of the devices, tools and services that the team supports and are proficient in troubleshooting and resolving common issues.
- You can handle a steady volume of calls and support requests with minimal escalations to the next level of support.
- You contribute to a positive team environment by supporting team initiatives and projects, actively collaborating with the team, sharing knowledge and assisting other team members.
- You create, update and maintain accurate documentation for both internal reference and customer-facing knowledge bases.
