Job Description We are seeking an Agile Cloud Engineering Lead to direct the design, development, and delivery of cloud-native infrastructure and platform solutions within a modern agile, multidisciplinary squad model. This role is ideal for a seasoned technologist with deep cloud expertise, strong consulting skills, and a passion for automation, security, and innovation.

You will work across squads to architect scalable, secure, and resilient platforms—primarily on Azure, with exposure to AWS and hybrid environments. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring engineers, shaping cloud strategy, and embedding DevSecOps and platform engineering best practices into delivery pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead the implementation of end-to-end cloud infrastructure and platform solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Serve as a technical authority within agile squads, influencing architecture, backlog prioritization, and delivery roadmaps
  • Champion DevSecOps, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD automation across squads
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and operations to ensure seamless integration of cloud services into digital products
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native solutions using open-source and enterprise-grade tools
  • Provide technical mentorship and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation
  • Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to squad and platform goals

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture and platform engineering
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure; familiarity with AWS and GCP is a plus
  • Strong background in distributed systems, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Advanced understanding of Windows/Linux OS, Active Directory/LDAP, and networking (firewalls, routing, VLANs)
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins)
  • Familiarity with DevOps toolchains, monitoring platforms (e.g., ELK, DataDog, Splunk), and source control (Git, Bitbucket)
  • Working knowledge of security protocols, identity and access management (e.g., OIDC, OAuth2, Keycloak)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in agile, squad-based environments

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or GCP equivalent
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Developer (CKAD)
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent

Tools & Technologies

  • Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure (primary), AWS, GCP (desirable)
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Bicep
  • Configuration Management: Ansible (preferred), Puppet, Chef
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Concourse, TeamCity
  • Monitoring & Logging: ELK Stack, DataDog, Splunk, Nagios, New Relic
  • Web & App Services: NGINX, Apache, JBoss
  • Programming & Scripting: Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, React, C/C++
  • Version Control: Git, Bitbucket, Subversion
  • Security & Identity: Keycloak, Red Hat SSO, ADFS, SSL/TLS, OIDC, OAuth2
  • Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server
  • Collaboration & Delivery: Atlassian Toolset (Jira, Confluence), MS Project, SharePoint

Working Model

This role operates within a modern agile delivery framework, leveraging multidisciplinary squads that include architects, developers, platform engineers, security specialists, and product owners. You will work in hybrid or remote-first environments, collaborating across time zones and business units to deliver high-impact solutions.
