We are currently looking for a Senior Planner, Vehicle Planning join our team in Mississauga, ON. A Day in the Life: POSITION SUMMARY As the Senior Planner – Vehicle Planning, you will be responsible for optimizing vehicle flow and allocation across all regions for both retail and fleet channels. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic planning, vehicle allocation management, and carflow simulations, in close collaboration with Regional General Managers (RGMs) and the Manager, Fleet Operations. The position focuses on balancing retail and fleet demand by understanding the distinct dynamics of each channel and executing allocation strategies that maximize sales throughput, volume performance, and profitability. POSITION FUNCTIONS The Senior Planner – Vehicle Planning plays a crucial role in optimizing sales volumes via allocation. Success in this role relies on strategic planning, collaborative efforts with key stakeholders, and a keen understanding of market dynamics. The following position function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. The position function statements reflect expectations of the fully trained, proficient incumbent who meets all performance criteria. Allocation and Sales Planning (50%) Implement a balanced allocation strategy. Collaborate on planning initiatives aimed at maximizing sales throughput while maintaining equilibrium in the allocation process. Collaborate with RGMs and regional teams to address allocation gaps and priorities Fleet Operations, Allocation & Order to Delivery process (25%) Support fleet product allocation and maintain appropriate inventory levels to optimize free cash flow and deliver best in class order to delivery performance, ensuring vehicle availability and delivery timing requirements are met. Create, Oversee and maintain customer ordering processes (commercial accounts) and dealer order assignment to drive operational efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Carflow Simulations/maintenance (15%) Assist the manager with ad hoc requests and Carflow simulations Maintain the Carflow on a monthly basis (i.e. actual carflows update, future FY template set up, supporting file update, etc Reporting (10%) Review the monthly allocation with sales VP and key stakeholders to seek alignment Report allocation results to the key stakeholders (i.e. dealer declines, additional order matching, national tagging progress) Maintain the orders, OBank, Order Preview, Order confirmation system Fleet Reporting, Performance Analysis, fleet accruals & Business Support. Produce and maintain weekly and monthly reporting, including sales estimates, Analyze monthly sales results and prepare insights for senior management and the Global Fleet Team. Who We’re Looking for: Required: The following qualification factors reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant. Experience: Previous experience in automotive sales planning, carflow management, or related roles. Proficiency in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is an asset. Excel Proficiency: A strong level of proficiency in Excel is essential for data analysis, modeling, and reporting. Knowledge of advanced Excel functions and data manipulation is required. Tableau Knowledge: Familiarity with Tableau is an asset, enabling enhanced data visualization and analysis for strategic decision-making. Power BI knowledge: Familiarity with power BI is an asset, enabling enhanced data visualization and reporting to support strategic decision-making. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to make informed decisions, with an added advantage of VBA expertise for automation and process improvement. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and RGMs. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with sales objectives. Adaptability: Capacity to adapt to changing market conditions and swiftly adjust carflow strategies accordingly. Desired: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A robust professional background spanning 5-7+ years in automotive sales planning or related roles, combined with advanced skills in Excel, will be instrumental in successfully optimizing carflow and sales planning within the designated region. WORKING CONDITIONS Although this position has some exposure to adverse working conditions (i.e. tied to computer and daily schedule, glare, monotonous and repetitive tasks and multiple and/or conflicting deadlines) the exposure is generally considered minimal. The work environment is safe and no precautions are necessary. Mississauga Ontario Canada Salary Range: $91,573.00 - $119,436.00 This compensation range represents the minimum to midpoint base salary rates at Nissan for jobs assigned to this particular grade level. Please note that an employee’s base salary may occasionally be set above the midpoint of the salary band for this grade level, in recognition of the employee’s unique skills, work experience, education, work location, or market conditions. Compensation decisions also consider internal equity and comparisons with the base salary rates of other employees with similar backgrounds working in comparable roles.
