We're Hiring: Professional Engineer – Acoustics & Vibration Location: Canada Industry: Aerospace / Aviation Experience: 3–8 Years Language Requirement: Fluent in English & French (Mandatory)
We are seeking a highly motivated Professional Engineer – Acoustics & Vibration to support aircraft cabin acoustics and vibration engineering activities across leading business aircraft programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on advanced aerospace technologies, cabin comfort optimization, simulation modelling, laboratory validation, and flight-testing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with engineering experts to support aircraft development through numerical simulations and laboratory measurements. Support cabin acoustics teams across aircraft programs to investigate and resolve acoustic and vibration-related issues during production, delivery, and in-service operations. Work closely with engineering and production teams to integrate new technologies, cabin interiors, connectivity solutions, and passenger comfort features while maintaining acoustic performance standards. Develop and evaluate innovative tools, methodologies, and technologies for future aircraft programs. Create and optimize acoustic simulation models using: Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) Ray Tracing Techniques Participate in laboratory, ground, and flight test campaigns to validate design concepts and assess cabin acoustic comfort and vibration performance. Analyze measurement data, identify trends, and recommend engineering improvements. Prepare technical reports and present findings, conclusions, and recommendations to key stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing aircraft acoustic and vibration performance.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Acoustics, or a related discipline Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Acoustics (Highly Preferred) 3–8 years of experience in Acoustics & Vibration Engineering Strong understanding of: Acoustics & Vibration Theory Measurement Techniques Signal Processing Advanced expertise in: Structural Dynamics Acoustic Finite Element Methods (FEM) Sound Design Applications Hands-on experience with: FE, SEA, and Ray Tracing Models Laboratory Testing Ground Testing Flight Testing Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams Innovative mindset with a passion for research and development
