About The Community
Matheson Island School is a Nursery to Grade 9 school with approximately 15 students. Matheson Island is a picturesque and peaceful community with approximately 100 residents, located close to the Narrows on Lake Winnipeg. It is a three-hour drive from Winnipeg and is accessible year-round by ferry and winter road. The area's natural beauty provides for an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities and is known for its incredible sunsets.

What You Bring
Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for) Master's degree in education/administration and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset At least five years of teaching experience and five years of administrative experience Previous success with development and implementation of short and long-term school-based plans A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset) Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
