Main fonction
The work involves receiving, recording, and transmitting complaints and requests by telephone, radio transmitter-receiver, or teletype from the City's call center, the public, and municipal employees regarding the activities of a department, division, or section.
Schedule
- Auxiliary- part time.
- 16 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime depending on the needs of the department.
Responsibilities
- Receive and relay directives and information about the progress of work or any other subject via telephone, radio, or teletype.
- Relay incoming calls to the appropriate parties based on priority, using radio, telephone, or teletype.
- Record the nature of all calls, the time they were received, and other relevant information on a record card, and ensure follow-up; take necessary measures to have these calls automatically recorded.
- Monitor alarm consoles (fire, theft, pump, power, etc., for municipal buildings) and notify the concerned parties in the event of an alarm.
- Forward relevant complaints to the appropriate organizations.
- Receive public telephone calls concerning street conditions, water pipe breaks, power outages, or malfunctions in the lighting or signal systems, or any other issues or complaints related to municipal or public services.
- Receive and relay to the appropriate person calls from employees reporting absences from work.
- Compile data and prepare statistics related to their activities.
- Use, as needed, various office equipment to perform tasks related to the job, using appropriate software as required.
- Perform any other related tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma and a Restricted Land Mobile Radio Operator Certificate from the federal Department of Communications
- One year of experience in a job that allows the incumbent to become familiar with the field of work
- Bilingual (written, spoken, and oral)
