Your Opportunity
As a valued member of the Business Process Management (BPM) team reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis for Financial applications, you will engage with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate their business needs into system solutions that achieve desired outcomes.
Your duties will include collaborating with stakeholders, leading workshops, modeling processes, identifying pain-points and improvement opportunities, eliciting business requirements, and assisting with testing and organizational change management.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a BA practitioner you will engage on project teams to:
- Understand client business needs.
- Analyze business processes to identify pain-points, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct workshops to elicit business requirements.
- Document information using tools such as MS Office suite and Confluence.
- Assist with product assessments and vendor selections.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing and participate in testing activities such as test case creation, execution, and issue resolution.
- Support cross-functional programs and projects that may include IT, Payroll, Project Accounting, and other areas.
As a BA practice proponent you will:
- Follow BPM practices and guidelines.
- Work with colleagues to improve those practices and guidelines.
- Assist with day-to-day operational issues.
- Adhere to Stantec policies and practices.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred:
- Experience and knowledge in corporate financial systems.
- Experience with documentation and work tracking tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience building test cases and performing testing with tools such as QTest
- Experience as a Business Analyst in a large organization
- Experience with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems
- Experience with Agile development practices
Education and additional Experience
- Post-secondary degree, ideally related to Business or Management Information Systems
- Professional accounting designation and/or IIBA certification, or substantial progress towards one, would be a significant asset
- Minimum 3 years of related experience

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
