PPCC Technician (One Year Contract)

About the role

General Job Description:

Responsible for procuring raw materials/components for pre-production trial activity. Ensure sourcing activity complete. Support pre-production development activity as outlined below.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive components into the PPCC cage and confirm proper labeling.
  • For any ECI’s, provide 1 pc old and 1 pc new level parts to the QE for confirmation
  • Create trial Kanban for injection, paint and assy for all new programs
  • Receive T0 & T1 level parts into the PPCC cage and distribute to appropriate people
  • Capture photographs for all new parts, injected, painted and assembled
  • Update the IPCR log and enter IPCR’s into docu-sign
  • Attend all trials and fill out green sheets when required
  • Update any tracking sheets as required
  • Monitor & track pre-production inventory of components and injected parts
  • Communicate inventories to Specialists for upcoming trials
  • Liason between pre-production and mass production for launch – training, part information, trials
  • Gather and prepare components/parts for pre-production assy trials
  • Prepare and update pre-production packaging work instructions for each part prior to first event to ensure no damage to parts.
  • Package and prep pre-production orders per standard to ensure no PPIR, late shipment.
  • Monitor pre-production packaging inventory and re-order as needed.
  • Dispose of old level parts & components. Track qty disposed for obsolescence recovery
  • Arrange resin shipments for external trials.
  • Support PPCC Specialists with daily activities as requested.
  • Deliver PCR parts to Toyota per PCR schedules
  • Support work instruction, FML, BPC updates needed for IPCR activity
  • Full understanding of Supplier Quality Assurance Manual, TPS, ECI tracking.
  • Meet the President’s Policy targets for PPCC.
  • Work in a safe manner and maintain 5S at all work locations.
  • TG Minto may amend the reporting structure and/or duties and responsibilities as business needs require.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education or Experience:

  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of TG MINTO.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills/analytical skills required to quickly respond to customer complaints.
  • Must be proficient in Excel computer software.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Forklift license
