Your Opportunity:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN); you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care to Family Medicine patients at the Leduc Community Hospital, while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Family Medicine Primary Location: Leduc Community Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.80 Posting End Date: 03-JUL-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temp P/T Benefits Date Available: 13-JUL-2026 Temporary End Date: 31-MAR-2027 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 8 Shifts per cycle: 32 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of CLPNA modules – Standards of Practice on Restricted Activities and Advanced Practice as well as certifications in required competencies. Direct IV Administration and PICC Certification. Basic keyboarding/computer skills are required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities are essential. The candidate must be able to work well independently and within a team. Demonstrates critical thinking skills within LPN scope of practice, including clinical judgment, problem solving skills and strong decision-making ability. Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment; constant walking, lifting, bending and heavy pushing/pulling necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within the CoACT/CareHub framework and Connect Care experience preferred. Experience in the care of medical patients is desired.
