Summary
Carboline is seeking a strategic and collaborative Project Development Manager to expand and strengthen specification presence across Calgary, Alberta . You will build trusted relationships with key stakeholders—including engineers, architects, consultants, and select owners—to drive project opportunities and long‑term adoption of Carboline solutions. Working closely with the Sales team, you will actively develop and manage a strong project pipeline, identify new opportunities early in the design phase, and help position Carboline for success throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Business, Technical Discipline, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales, project management or business development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate across cross‑functional teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience managing sales pipelines (Salesforce experience preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned market.
Physical Requirements
- Minimal physical activity; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Extended computer usage (up to 8 hours per day).
- Occasional exposure to chemicals in industrial or construction environments.
- Travel by car or air up to 50%, including overnight stays.
Essential Functions
- Expand and strengthen Carboline’s specification influence by building strong relationships with key specifiers and influencers throughout the assigned region
- Proactively manage a robust pipeline of major projects and strategic opportunities from early specification through project close.
- Identify, qualify, and advance targeted projects, guiding them through the full project development and sales cycle.
- Own and deliver project development milestones and sales objectives, with accountability for results.
- Develop and execute project‑specific selling strategies that position Carboline for maximum success.
- Serve as a key connector across internal teams by facilitating collaboration between Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Project Development.
- Accurately track, manage, and report all project activity using Salesforce.
- Create and execute annual specification plans to drive sustained sales growth within the assigned region and targeted markets.
- Maintain regular, value‑driven contact with assigned specifying and influencing accounts, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
- Champion all company safety, quality, and compliance standards.
