Job Description
The next chapter of our Facilities Management business needs strong leaders. As Dexterra continues to grow, we're investing in leadership capacity within our Facilities Management business. This newly created Senior Director role is designed to strengthen our leadership bench, support future succession planning, and help shape the future of our operations. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced facilities management leader who is ready to broaden their impact, influence business decisions at a higher level, and help drive the long-term success of a growing national organization. What's The Role? This is an opportunity to help shape the future of our Facilities Management business. At its core, the Senior Director, Facilities Management is a leadership role. You'll help guide a significant facilities management portfolio, support business growth, develop future leaders, strengthen client partnerships, and contribute to the long-term success of the business. What You'll Do
Lead a High-Performing Business Portfolio Provide leadership across a significant facilities management portfolio. Drive operational excellence, service quality, customer satisfaction, and business performance. Lead strategic planning initiatives that align operations with organizational objectives. Identify opportunities to strengthen performance, improve efficiency, and create value for clients. Contribute to the long-term strategic direction of the business.
Drive Growth and Business Development
Support business growth through client retention, expansion opportunities, and new business initiatives. Build and maintain strong client relationships that support long-term partnerships. Contribute to bid strategies, contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and proposal development. Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen market presence. Stay connected to industry trends, customer priorities, and emerging opportunities.
Strengthen Client Partnerships
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and key stakeholders. Maintain a visible leadership presence across customer portfolios. Foster strong relationships built on trust, accountability, and results. Align business objectives with client priorities to create long-term value.
Develop Leaders and Build Organizational Capacity
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of operational leaders. Support workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives. Build leadership capability across the organization and strengthen bench strength for the future. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
Deliver Strong Financial Results
Maintain accountability for revenue, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance. Monitor business results and implement corrective actions where required. Drive operational discipline while balancing customer expectations and business objectives. Partner with Finance and operational leaders to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
Champion Continuous Improvement
Analyze performance and lessons learned to improve future outcomes. Drive initiatives that improve service delivery, efficiency, and customer value. Encourage innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Who We're Looking For You are a senior facilities management leader who combines strategic thinking with operational credibility. You understand what it takes to build strong customer partnerships, develop high-performing teams, and deliver sustainable business results. Post-secondary degree in Business or a related field. Proven P&L leadership experience with accountability for financial performance. Significant leadership experience within Facilities Management, Integrated Facilities Management, Building Operations, or another service-driven environment. Experience leading large portfolios, complex operations, and multiple client relationships. Strong strategic planning and business execution capabilities. Demonstrated success developing leaders and building organizational capability. Strong business development, relationship management, and commercial acumen. Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
