Description:
Are you an organized and detail-oriented HR professional with a passion for supporting diverse teams across multiple locations? We are seeking an HR Coordinator to support our operations in BC & Alberta. This role will manage HR administrative tasks, ensure training compliance, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and provide answers to employee HR-related questions. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Employee Inquiries & Support (30%)

Serve as a primary point of contact for employees across all locations, addressing questions related to HR policies, benefits, and other HR matters.

Provide guidance on HR processes such as hiring, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
-
Support Managers of Clinical Practice (MCPs) and Clinical Leaders in resolving employee relations issues and facilitating performance management conversations.
-
Training & Development Compliance (25%)
-
Ensure field employees complete all required in-service training and certifications, including tracking and documentation.
-
Regularly communicate with employees and managers to follow up on outstanding training requirements.
-
Assist in scheduling internal training programs and organizing professional development sessions for employees.
-
Ensure that training completion is accurately recorded in HR systems and that employees are compensated appropriately for training time.

Recruitment & Onboarding Support (20%)
-
Assist with posting job openings on job boards and company websites, and track applications.
-
Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and hiring managers.
-
Facilitate pre-employment background checks, references, and credential verifications.
-
Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation and conducting orientation sessions, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.

Compliance & Employee Records (10%)
-
Maintain and update employee information in HR systems such as PeopleSoft, ensuring accuracy in roles, hours worked, and other key data.
-
Verify and update employee compliance records, including criminal background checks and other mandatory certifications.
-
Ensure all employee-related documentation is properly recorded and filed, adhering to company policies and legal standards.

Benefits Administration & Stakeholder Collaboration (10%)
-
Administer employee benefits enrollments and changes, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
-
Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to address benefits-related questions and discrepancies.
-
Provide regular updates to HR and management teams on employee-related issues, including training completion, performance management, and compliance status.

Employment Documentation & Verifications (5%)
-
Prepare and verify reference and employment letters, ensuring accuracy in employment history, job roles, and compensation.
-
Respond to employee requests for documentation, including employment verification and paystubs for current and former employees.
-
Process employee transfers and terminations, ensuring all documentation is handled in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Technical Abilities:

Proven experience in HR administration or coordination, preferably within healthcare or multi-location environments.

Strong communication skills to support and advise employees on HR-related matters.
-
Excellent organizational skills to manage training, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations tasks efficiently.
-
Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably PeopleSoft, and strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word).
-
Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in HR, particularly in the home health or healthcare sectors.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration or coordination roles.
-
Experience managing employee training, recruitment, and compliance in a multi-site setting.
Qualifications/Education:
- College or University diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
