Our business unit based in Sarnia, specialized in industrial cleaning, is looking for Painting and Sand Blast Manager.

What you have to do:
Commercial
- Propose the business action plan.
- Implement the commercial action plan.
- Ensures that costumer expectations are met.
- Ensures the costing of painting activities.
- Checks the financial follow up of activities.
- Participate in discussions with customers on technical and commercial aspects.
- Prepare service quotations.
Operations
Ensure the following tasks are applied (by him/her or the team):
- Carries out preliminary site visits, collects information required for site preparation in compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepares the worksite:
o Defines the operating resources, means and methods to be used to carry out the work.
o Ensures the conformity, good working condition and maintenance of equipment and tools used.
o Organizes the installation of all necessary materials and equipment on site.
- Ensures efficient and simple organization of operating documentation on site:
o Participates in defining the content of prevention plans, work permits, operational risk analyses operating procedures, and may be required to validate them.
o May be required to carry out the TSA (Task Safety Analysis) or check that TSA have been carried out correctly.
o May be required to take part in developing operating procedures.
- Organizes site operations:
o Ensures excellent communication with Painters and management (Health & Safety Coordinator, Managers, Dispatch).
o Anticipates site operating requirements and implements the necessary actions in conjunction with his/her supervisor.
o Ensures proper application of Painting procedures on site.
o Ensures operational monitoring of any subcontractors.
o Ensures respect for sites rules.
- Defines the painting system in compliance with the regulations and submit the appropriate procedures.
- Establishes the follow-up of the activities and the workload plan:
o Identifies anomalies and provides appropriate solutions to problems.
o Ensures that any deviations from the contract are reported to his/her supervisor.
- Organizes site closure:
o Collects and fills in the completion details for his/her work.
o Reports any site anomalies to his/her supervisor.
- Ensures the efficiency of teams in managing deadlines, safety conditions and the quality of work carried out.
Management
- Coordinates team activities.
- Manages the operational teams.
- Participate to hiring.
- Take part in annual employee appraisals.
- Onboard and monitor new employees
- Reports any misbehavior by employees to his/her superiors or to the management of the Business Place.
- Ensures that team working hours are respected.
- Commits to communicate best practices and work methods to his teams.
- Informs his/her supervisor of any training needs for his team.
- Leads OHS breaks.
Health and Safety
- Applies, and enforces the OHS policy and objectives of the Business Place, providing the necessary resources to achieve them.
- Make sure the equipment’s, facilities and tools are in compliance with laws and procedures
- Applies and enforces regulations, customer-group requirements, and OHS system within the team.
- Engages with the OHS system by achieving individual objectives.
- Exercises his/her right to withdraw and his/her duty to alert in the event of a dangerous situation.
- May be required to participate in analyses and investigations relating to dangerous situations, near-misses, incidents and accidents in the workplace, in liaison with the OHS department.
- Takes appropriate measures to help minimize damaging risks.
- May be required to propose and implement improvement and corrective actions.
- Monitors the achievement of OHS objectives within his/her area of responsibility.
- Ensures follow-up of the various corrective actions for which he/she is responsible.
- Collaborates with customers OHS departments and with representatives of official agencies.
Profile
Do you have a minimum of 5 years experiences on this kind of position ?
Do you have a NACE certification, preferably ?
Are you in good physical condition and enjoy non-routine work tasks ?
