About the role
Key Responsibilities
Own the overall technical architecture of the Legacy Portal/Existing Portal "Education Domain". Design scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications. Define solution architecture, application design standards, and development best practices. Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle. Analyze existing applications and recommend modernization strategies. Drive migration initiatives from .NET Framework to .NET Core/.NET 8 where appropriate. Design and develop enterprise applications using ASP.NET Core and modern .NET technologies. Design RESTful APIs and integration solutions for internal and external systems. Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and maintainability. Review database design, data models, stored procedures, and SQL performance. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Mentor developers and technical leads on architecture, coding standards, and best practices. Support production issues, root cause analysis, and technical troubleshooting. Prepare architecture diagrams, solution documents, technical specifications, and design documentation. Define reusable frameworks, shared components, and coding standards. Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and organizational standards.
Required Technical Skills
Application Development 10+ years of software development experience. 3+ years as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect. Strong expertise in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and .NET 8. Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core MVC, ASP.NET Core Web API, and Web Forms (preferred). Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles. Experience with asynchronous programming (async/await) and multithreading. Experience with LINQ and modern C# language features.
