About the role
MARKETING MANAGER
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts across Western Canada in the wholesale plumbing, electrical, and HVAC industries. This role will oversee a team of three (Graphic Designer, Wholesale Marketing Coordinator, and Showroom Marketing Coordinator) and manage the annual co-op fund budget.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning and executing supplier media campaigns, identifying new advertising and promotional opportunities, and ensuring cohesive marketing strategies that extend our reach. They will also play a key role in organizing branch and regional events, supporting supplier partnerships, and driving impactful marketing initiatives to strengthen our brand presence in the marketplace. This role works closely with the Director of Marketing & eCommerce to ensure alignment on strategy, objectives, and execution across all channels.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and support the marketing to deliver high-quality campaigns and materials.
- Manage day-to-day workflow, ensuring alignment with company goals and effective cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, and supplier partners.
- Maintain regular communication with the Director of Marketing & eCommerce and senior leadership to ensure transparency, alignment, and integration of marketing initiatives.
Budget & Supplier Management
- Oversee the annual co-op marketing fund budget, including allocation, invoicing, collection, and reporting to maximize ROI.
- Build and manage media plans with supplier partners across print, digital, and event-based channels, ensuring timely communication on approvals, status, and results.
- Develop and maintain the company’s media kit, outlining available advertising and promotional opportunities.
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement marketing plans that align with company objectives, supplier goals, and market opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate new advertising, digital, and promotional opportunities to increase brand visibility and reach.
- Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, promotional materials, and digital assets, ensuring brand consistency and quality across all channels.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute advertising schedules, creative assets, and deadlines with external partners and publishers.
- Design and manage digital and social media campaigns (including Google Ads) to drive awareness, generate leads, and support eCommerce growth.
Events & Promotions
- Plan, coordinate, and execute branch and regional events, trade shows, and promotional activities to strengthen customer and supplier relationships.
- Support branch managers and coordinators with localized marketing needs and event execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, event organizers, and industry associations to expand promotional opportunities.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare post-event and campaign reports to evaluate performance and ROI.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on marketing performance, budget usage, and upcoming initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to recommend strategies and improvements.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, media partners, and industry organizations.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required

Candidates should possess a minimum of 3-5 years in a marketing role

Experience using Microsoft Office required

Experience using Adobe Suite an asset

Knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices and techniques an asset
