About the role

The Continuing Legal Education Society of BC (“CLEBC”) is the BC legal profession’s preferred source for education and publications. CLEBC is a not-for-profit society that derives all its income from the sale of courses and publications. With more than 80 live and online courses each year, and an online and print library of more than 50 books, we support BC’s 14,000 lawyers in all aspects of their practice.

We have an opening for a Program Coordinator. Reporting to the Production Manager, Programs, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient logistical planning and delivery of CLEBC in-person and virtual courses. This is a temporary full-time position beginning in October 2025 and ending in December 2025.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and execute all logistical aspects of CLEBC courses, ensuring seamless delivery and an exceptional participant experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for speakers, contributors, and internal teams to manage and confirm course-related details.
  • Maintain up-to-date faculty lists, track expense claims, compile materials packages, and prepare final course memos.
  • Create and manage course event pages, ensuring registrants have access to current and accurate information, including speaker bios, photos, and course materials.
  • Support courses (virtually or in-person), including introducing speakers and overseeing event logistics.
  • Deliver high-level customer service and responsive support to both registrants and faculty.
  • Ensure the accurate representation of faculty names and affiliations in the CLEBC store; collaborate with customer service to resolve discrepancies.
  • Set up and maintain contributor accounts in the CLEBC store database, including employment details and contact information.
  • Submit registrant continuing professional development (CPD) information to the Law Society website in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of faculty biographies and photos for use across marketing materials and the CLEBC website.
  • Responsible for semi annual faculty presentation skills training including scheduling the session dates and the participants, attend onsite to welcome participants and deal with all logistical issues.
  • Support faculty during Zoom training sessions and provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Assist with general administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, skills, and abilities:

  • Strong planning, organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and availability to start early on course days (as early as 7:00 a.m.).
  • Post-secondary education in event planning, education, communications, or a related field considered an asset.

CLEBC offers a competitive salary and benefit package. The starting salary range for this position is $50,200 to $59,000.
