Full-Time Optometry Assistant!
Miller Optometry is a brand-new, state-of-the-art independent clinic opening its doors in the heart of Truro. We're not just an optometry clinic; we're a community hub dedicated to providing exceptional eye care experiences that leave our patients smiling.
As our Optometry Assistant, you'll be the welcoming face of our clinic and the right hand to our amazing optometrist. What You'll Be Doing (Your Daily Adventures):
- Patient Superstar: Greeting everyone with a warm smile, managing their journey through the clinic, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for.
- Schedule Sorcerer: Keeping our calendar organized, booking appointments, and handling inquiries like a pro.
- Pre-Test Pro: Assisting with essential pre-testing procedures, setting the stage for a comprehensive eye exam.
- Clinic Champion: Keeping our space sparkling clean, organized, and fully stocked with everything we need to provide top-notch care.
- Team Player: Collaborating closely with the optometrist and your future colleagues to create a seamless and positive clinic flow.
- Beyond the Basics: Handling administrative tasks, managing records, processing payments, and generally being awesome at whatever comes your way!
What We're Looking For (Your Superpowers):
- A genuine desire to help others and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills – you love talking to people!
- Killer organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks with ease.
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new systems.
- A team spirit, but also the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Great attention to detail – because in eye care, every detail matters!
- Previous experience in optometry or healthcare? That's a bonus, but not required if you have the right attitude and eagerness to learn!
