Health, Safety and Environment Specialist

Within the Human Ressources team, as an HSE Specialist:
Your responsibilities
-
Oversee Compliance: The Supervisor must verify that all technical and regulatory obligations related to environmental, social, health, and safety aspects are strictly adhered to by the Contractor;
-
Non-Compliance Reporting: The Supervisor must promptly identify and report any non-compliance issues to the Contractor, demanding immediate corrective actions to rectify any deficiencies, errors, or omissions that do not invalidate the contract;
-
Non-Conformity Tracking: The Supervisor must document all non-conformities, notify the Employer, and track their closure;
-
Progress Reporting: The Supervisor must incorporate all findings and their status into the progress reports, including incidents reports;
-
The Supervisor must conduct on-site safety visits and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Your profile
-
University education in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health and safety, or any related field;
-
15 years of experience as a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist, including a minimum of 5 years on infrastructure construction projects;
-
Knowledge of laws and regulations governing occupational health and safety in construction;
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
-
Bilingualism required (French and English);
-
Proficiency in Spanish is an asset;

Strong customer service skills, courtesy and professionalism;
-
Initiative, autonomy, and discretion.
