About the opportunity:
Join an innovative team at the forefront of advanced manufacturing. As a CNC Machinist within our Rapid Prototyping Centre, you’ll play a key role in supporting the development of next-generation products by fabricating precision components.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture high-quality parts/assemblies/fixtures for engineering development and short-run production in our fully equipped CNC Machine Shop (3-Axis, 5-Axis and/or Lathe)
- Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models
- Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback to engineering teams
- Modify existing parts/designs
- Take a creative approach to manufacturing and where necessary, make recommendations for improvements.
- Be aware of manufacturing deadlines and work towards achieving those goals through effective time management and collaboration with other team members.
Location: onsite based in Kitchener, ON

- The experience and skills we value:
- Certified Machinist/Toolmaker
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC Machining including set-up and operation.
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Proficiency with MasterCAM and SolidWorks is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently managing shifting priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
What will put you ahead:
- Experience operating HAAS/Okuma/RoboDrill CNC machine centers/controls.
- CNC Lathe or 5-Axis Experience.
- MasterCAM programming and SolidWorks experience.
- Knowledge or experience in a prototyping machine shop.
- Knowledge or experience operating a CMM.
- Knowledge or experience with Additive Manufacturing.
