Role: The Database Administrator reports to the Director, Global Delivery, and works closely with a team of Developers, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Specialists and Senior Release Coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of our customers.
Below, is a brief description of the expected product the candidate will be working on:
Equisoft/centralize is a powerful back-office insurance agency management system that offers our clients a way to connect carriers' feeds, paramedical data, clients, policies, and more to a single platform. Our workbench solution helps our customers work smarter, provides unique insights, and makes it possible to automate their business processes.
Your Day with Equisoft:
- Debugging complex SQL performance issues across multiple database environments and applications
- Writing, reviewing, and optimizing sophisticated SQL queries to meet business requirements and performance standards
- Analyzing and enhancing SQL Server database performance through advanced query tuning, index optimization, and resource management
- Troubleshooting and resolve SQL-related application issues by analyzing code, execution plans, and database logs
- Designing and implementing database deployment strategies using DACPAC packages
- Interpreting and enhancing complex data models to support business requirements and improve system efficiency
Requirements:
Technical
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or College Diploma combined to 3 years of relevant experience
- 8+ years of hands-on SQL Server database administration with demonstrated SQL expertise
- Debug complex SQL performance issues across multiple database environments and applications
- Write, review, and optimize sophisticated SQL queries to meet business requirements and performance standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve SQL-related application issues by analyzing code, execution plans, and database logs
- Experience with enterprise-scale database environments
- Strong background in database security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Ability to read, understand, and optimize existing complex SQL codebases
- Experience with SQL Server profiler, execution plan analysis, and performance monitoring tools
- Analyze and enhance SQL Server database performance through advanced query tuning, index optimization, and resource management
- Design and implement database deployment strategies using DACPAC packages
- Interpret and enhance complex data models to support business requirements and improve system efficiency
- Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
