Qualifications:
- Post-secondary qualifications in rehabilitation, kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university or enrolled in same required. If enrolled, must complete program within 3 years of hire date.
- Knowledge / experience working within Rehabilitation
- Demonstrate able to read and write as well as to understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Knowledge / experience working within Rehabilitation
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others and to maintain positive relationships with residents, families and staff
- Ability to work alone and with others
- Strong customer focuses skills
- Satisfactory employment record required
- An excellent attendance record is required
Responsibilities:
- Directly accountable to the OT/PT.
- Implements the maintenance of patient programming under the direction of the OT/PT
- Communicate changes in resident abilities and function to the OT/PT to complete the program assigned.
- Prepares apparatus and equipment required for the program.
- Records resident participation in the programs.
- In the interest of the safety of residents and family members, employees while on duty are accountable to carry out all duties assigned within the scope of their job in compliance with applicable legislation, standards and company policy.
Completes tasks as assigned by the OT/PT for the benefit of the resident which is not limited to the above.
