About the role

bioLytical is looking for its next Janitor based out of our facility in Richmond.

The Janitor will maintain a welcoming, clean, and fresh work environment. Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets is a plus and have demonstrated janitorial experience to work with cleaning chemicals and supplies.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

  • Clean designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)

  • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas

  • Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary

  • Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators

  • Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner

  • Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition

  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

  • Follow all health and safety regulations

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions

  • Ability to work effectively with a team

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Proven working experience as a janitor

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

  • Integrity and ability to work independently

  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets is a plus

The hourly wage rate for this job starts at $19.50
