About the Opportunity

General Dynamics Land Systems–Canada is looking for full-time 310S or 310T Licensed Vehicle Technicians based in London, Ontario , with travel requirements across Canada and abroad .

Reporting to the Supervisor of Field Service Representatives in the Customer Support Department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting, repairing, and maintaining Light Armoured Vehicles (LAVs) while ensuring they remain mission-ready for deployment at home and abroad.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for conducting inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on military vehicles, while providing technical expertise and guidance to internal teams and external customers.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing technical inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on Light Armoured Vehicles
  • Conducting modifications, retrofits, and maintenance activities
  • Providing advice, guidance, and technical assistance to customers and team members
  • Assisting in the development of repair estimates and project tracking data
  • Liaising with customers to resolve technical issues and data concerns
  • Monitoring parts usage and identifying material issues
  • Supporting field assignments through domestic and international travel
  • Leading and mentoring other technicians on site when required

About You

To qualify, you will need a valid 310S or 310T License (or equivalent military certification). Experience as a licensed technician is considered an asset, but newly licensed candidates will also be welcomed.

The following are required:

  • Eligibility for registration under the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) administered by the Controlled Goods Directorate (CGD)
  • Ability to obtain Secret Level II security clearance
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (typically 20–25% of the role)

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • Experience conducting repairs, modifications, and retrofits
  • Familiarity with shop or manufacturing environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing tasks
  • Reliability and professionalism in customer-facing settings
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including Fork Trucks and Portable Cranes
