About the role

We’re looking for a Field Technician to join our team.

This position is located in Ottawa. As a Field Technician II, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining laptop, desktop and printer support for end users and clients. A valid passport and drivers’ license and vehicle are required. This position requires eligibility for a Top Secret level government security investigation.

Must be bilingual in French and English

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems
  • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks
  • Works under general supervision.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Deskside software support
  • High end printer and multi-function laser component level repair
  • Server component level hardware repair and software restore
  • Network device replacement/ configuration
  • Basic network troubleshooting
  • Smart Hands, executes

Qualifications:

  • Requires experience in the field or in a related area; familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Able to perform call-management in a Real-Time-Reporting environment
  • Able to work independently & with limited supervision
  • Excellent verbal & written skills
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • CompTIA A+

  • Lexmark / Xerox / HP Multi-Function & Work Center (Mono/Couleur)

  • IBM, HP, Dell server certs

Ce poste nécessite d’être bilingue Français / Anglais. Ce poste nécessite d’être éligible pour une enquête de sécurité gouvernementale de niveau Top Secret.

Ce poste est situé à Ottawa. En tant que technicien de terrain II, vous serez responsable de la prise en charge et de la maintenance des ordinateurs portables, des ordinateurs de bureau et des imprimantes pour les utilisateurs finaux de nos clients. Un passeport et un permis de conduire valide et ainsi qu’un véhicule sont requis. Ce rôle relève du directeur du service à la clientèle.

Responsabilités :

  • Maintient, analyse, dépanne et répare les systèmes informatiques, le matériel et les périphériques informatiques
  • Documente, entretient, met à niveau ou remplace les systèmes matériels et logiciels
  • Prend en charge et maintient les informations de compte d'utilisateur, y compris les groupes de droits, de sécurité et de systèmes.
  • Identifie, analyse et répare les défaillances des produits, commande et remplace les pièces au besoin
  • S'appuie sur l'expérience et le jugement pour planifier et atteindre ses objectifs.
  • Effectue une variété de tâches compliquées
  • Travaux sous supervision générale. Un certain degré de créativité et de latitude est requis

Tâches principales :

  • Réparation d’imprimantes haut de gamme et d’appareils multifonctions
  • Réparation matérielle et restauration logicielle au niveau des composants de serveur
  • Remplacement/configuration de périphérique réseau
  • Assistance logicielle sur place
  • Dépannage réseau de base
  • Exécution ‘Smart Hands’

Qualifications:

  • Nécessite une expérience dans le domaine informatique ou dans un domaine connexe; familier avec une variété de concepts, de pratiques et de procédures du domaine
  • Capable d'effectuer la gestion des appels dans un environnement de rapport en temps réel
  • Capable de travailler de manière autonome et avec une supervision limitée
  • Excellentes compétences verbales et écrites
  • Avoir de bonnes compétences interpersonnelles et de communication.
