- This intermediate-level role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and wants their dashboards and analyses to directly influence millions of players
- 2–4 years in data, product, or game analytics
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python, R, etc.)
- Experience building dashboards with Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Strong attention to detail, so you'll notice we'd like you to mention "Kattegat" in your application
- Curiosity about games and player behaviour
- Ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable recommendations
- Experience with in-game economy or event analysis
- Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and statistical concepts

What the job involves
- Big Viking Games is looking for a Data Analyst to join our team and help uncover insights that drive smarter game decisions for our flagship titles—YoWorld and FishWorld
- Embedded within the Product Team, you'll analyze player behaviour, evaluate monetization performance, and build dashboards that guide feature, content, and live-ops strategy
- You’ll help shape decisions across roadmap planning, A/B testing, feature development, and in-game economy optimization—while building clean, reliable data sets and scalable reporting foundations
- Build and maintain dashboards (DAU, engagement, player spend, event performance) for Product and Live Ops teams
- Analyze player behaviour, feature performance, and monetization trends to inform roadmap and tuning decisions
- Support A/B test design, impact analysis, and lift measurement for new gameplay features, gem events, and reactivation offers
- Partner with product managers to track the health of in-game economies and pricing strategies
- Partner with stakeholders to define success metrics and measure impact
- Translate findings into clear, actionable insights that drive product and design decisions
- Collaborate with senior analysts to validate forecasts, adoption models, and player segmentations
- Write performant SQL queries to extract and structure large data sets
- Maintain and improve the accuracy of dashboards and self-serve reporting tools
- Partner with Data Engineering to ensure consistency across pipelines and BI platforms
