About the role

Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Student Digital Marketing Assistant. This role is for students currently enrolled at the University who want to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media, content creation, and brand communications within a campus-based team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in updates to web content (the university’s or SU’s website), ensuring consistency, usability, and knowledge of basic SEO is must.
  • Familiar with WordPress for basic website updates, content management and plugin use.
  • Knowledge of WordPress CMS, uncluding creating/editing pages, and managing themes.
  • Assist in creating digital content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter) and digital bulletin boards.
  • Support scheduling, publishing, and tracking posts and campaigns.
  • Help in the design and production of digital marketing materials: graphics, social posts, web images, possibly short video or photo content.
  • Maintain content calendars for digital channels.
  • (engagement, reach etc.) using social media analytics tools; assist in preparing reports.
  • Conduct short research on trends, competitors, or digital best practices; suggest ideas.
  • Provide general administrative support: organizing files, maintaining photo libraries, supporting campaign coordination.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Basic familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management, ability to meet deadlines, and good attention to detail.
  • A creative mindset and willingness to learn and try new digital marketing tools/techniques.

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time/flexible hours to accommodate academic commitments.
