The opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Wealth Advisor, the Investment Associate will act as a resource person for clients and assists Investment Advisors with administrative tasks and transaction processing related to managing client accounts. The Investment Associate plays a crucial role in providing investment advice, building client relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations set forth by CIRO.

Key responsibilities include: Relationship Management & Client Service Support

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication, responsiveness, and proactive support.
  • Address client inquiries, service requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as a resource for clients by assisting with reporting requests, product information, and account inquiries.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact and ensure client needs are addressed efficiently.

Client Portfolio Management, Administrative and Operational Support

  • Provide administrative support including meeting preparation, transaction processing, and account opening documentation.
  • Execute client service requests such as tax reporting, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, and contributions.
  • Process trades and provide pricing or quote information when required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely follow-up on all client transactions to minimize errors and maintain strong operational standards.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably within a client-facing or client service role.
  • Active RR licensing with CIRO (or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits: Range $70,000 - $90,000 annually.

This range represents Wellington-Altus' expected range of compensation for this position. Actual compensation will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. Compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

Wellington-Altus' total compensation package for employees may also include discretionary bonuses as well as other perks and rewards. Wellington-Altus also offers health insurance, accident and life insurance, and other unique benefits per location.
