PWO Canada is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier for auto manufacturers globally. We are one of five subsidiaries in the PWO AG Group, manufacturing lightweight metal components for the automotive industry.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Financial controller to support our Controlling and Manufacturing Finance functions. This role will be responsible for cost center and profit center reporting, product costing, customer quotation support, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Finance teams to provide meaningful financial insights, support business decision-making, and improve financial performance. A strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, root cause analysis, and SAP-based reporting is essential. This role will also support finance transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA migration activities, process improvements, and other strategic finance projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manufacturing Controlling, Reporting & Financial Analysis Monitor and report on cost center and profit center performance. Develop annual cost center budgets and periodic forecasts in partnership with department managers. Analyze actual results against budget and forecast and investigate key variances. Perform root cause analysis to identify business drivers impacting financial performance. Support management in understanding cost drivers and identifying opportunities for cost optimization. Analyze product, customer, and business segment profitability. Support decision-making through financial modelling, business case analysis, and ad hoc reporting. Work closely with operational teams to improve cost visibility and financial performance. Develop and maintain reporting tools, templates, and dashboards.
- Product Costing & Customer Quotation Support Support product costing activities and maintain cost models. Participate in customer quotation and pricing processes. Analyze manufacturing cost structures including material, labour, overhead, machine-hour, and occupancy costs. Assist in the development and maintenance of standard costing methodologies. Calculate and maintain costing assumptions and allocation rates. Support profitability and margin analysis at product and customer levels.
- SAP & Finance Systems Support Utilize SAP for controlling reporting, planning, and costing activities. Participate in SAP S/4HANA migration activities, including testing, data validation, user acceptance testing, process documentation, and training support. Work closely with Finance and IT teams to improve system capabilities and reporting effectiveness.
- Continuous Improvement & Projects Support finance transformation and process improvement initiatives. Participate in cross-functional projects impacting Finance and Operations. Contribute to reporting automation, standardization, and process optimization efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
3-7 years of experience in Manufacturing Finance, Controlling, Costing, or Financial Analysis. Experience working within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of: Cost center accounting, Product costing, and Manufacturing cost structures Experience supporting customer quotation and pricing activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and identify business drivers. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Hands-on SAP experience.

Pay Range: CAD50,000 - CAD95,000
