About the role

Senior Site Manager

Location: North West London Salary: Up to £85,000 + package

Blayze Group are working with a highly respected residential developer to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their growing construction team, delivering a major Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) development in North West London.

The project comprises two high-rise RC frame blocks, requiring a Senior Site Manager with strong experience across reinforced concrete frame, façade, and complex residential construction. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional to take ownership of a landmark development and play a key role in its successful delivery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of three site-based professionals, so previous experience leading, mentoring, and developing small site teams is essential. You will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate and motivate a team to deliver project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all site-based construction activities from delivery through to completion.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, reporting into the Project Director.
  • Manage and mentor a team of three site-based professionals, ensuring effective coordination and delivery of site objectives.
  • Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure programme, quality, and safety requirements are achieved.
  • Oversee RC frame and façade works, ensuring construction activities are delivered in line with specifications.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain construction programmes, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure robust health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained across the project.
  • Chair site meetings, conduct inspections, and provide accurate reporting on progress, resources, risks, and performance.
  • Manage site logistics and coordinate effectively with all project stakeholders.
  • Support the commercial team by identifying and managing potential risks and opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the site team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager delivering large-scale residential developments.
  • Strong background delivering RC frame projects, ideally high-rise residential or PBSA schemes.
  • Demonstrable experience managing and leading small site teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, temporary works, façade packages, and quality control.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and complex supply chains.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop site teams.
  • Good understanding of construction programmes and planning tools such as Asta Powerproject.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and quality assurance procedures.
  • Experience using systems such as Procore, SmartWaste, Microsoft Project, or similar would be advantageous.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Site Manager looking to work on a prestigious London development with a forward-thinking organisation offering excellent long-term career prospects
