Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced D365 Functional Specialist to lead the implementation of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations within a complex manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on implementation role responsible for translating intricate manufacturing, supply chain, and finance processes into a well-configured D365 F&O solution. Working as part of a global implementation team, the specialist will partner closely with operational and functional leaders to design, configure, test, and deploy the system, ensuring it supports multi-level bills of materials, production scheduling, inventory and warehouse management, costing, and quality control. The specialist will partner with functional leaders across the global team. The role is based at the Brampton site.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the functional implementation of D365 F&O across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement, from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment, and hyper-care
- Work close
- Configure and optimise inventory, warehouse management, master planning (MRP), and product costing to support a multi-site manufacturing environment
- Conduct workshops with operational stakeholders to confirm to-be processes, identify gaps, and define fit/gap decisions, customisations, and integrations
- Prepare and execute test scripts, coordinate user acceptance testing, and manage data migration, validation, and cutover activities
- Develop training materials and deliver coaching and end-user training to build adoption and self-sufficiency across functional teams
- Act as a point of escalation during and after go-live, identifying root causes and developing sustainable fixes and process improvements
- Ensure integration and reporting tools receive the data required to deliver accurate operational reporting, insight, and continuous improvement
- Produce regular and ad hoc progress updates and reports to keep the leadership and project teams informed of milestones, risks, and opportunities
- Play a key role in subsequent migrations for a pipeline of additional companies following the initial go-live
- Pursue continuous improvement by securing long-term, high-challenge tasks and projects across the D365 F&O ecosystem
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience implementing Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, at least 3 implementations ideally, including at least one full end-to-end manufacturing implementation
- Experience of practical optimisation of the system, working with operational colleagues to ensure the system works for the business
- Well-practiced interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Good analytical skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way to non-technical colleagues
- Understand Complex BOM’s and D365 product configurator
- Confidence to use your initiative to avoid and resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvements and growth
- Highly motivated, with a tenacious and energetic approach
- Ability to keep a finger on the technical / industry pulse to identify development opportunities and anticipate and mitigate risk
- Solid understanding of supply chain, inventory, warehouse management, and product costing within a manufacturing context
- Experience translating complex operational processes into system configuration, with strong fit/gap analysis and solution design skills
Mindset, Skills & Education
- Several years of experience delivering ERP implementations, with a focus on manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience contributing to large-scale, end-to-end implementation projects throughout the full lifecycle.
- Proven experience working on global applications and rollouts across multiple sites and countries.
- Strong process design, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional, global teams.
- Strategic thinking with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business value through technology.
- Ability to apply established implementation requirements and standards, and to promote industry best practices.
- Educational background in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s required).
