About the role

The Fibre Procurement Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the team in procurement processes and in analyzing data related to raw material purchasing. This role consists mainly of analytical and administrative tasks, along with a key responsibility for managing the traceability chain in alignment with forest certification and traceability standards under the multisite certification framework.

The analyst is also responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payments issued to all suppliers and carriers. This requires rigorous management of various systems and datasets, as well as close collaboration with internal and external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor daily deliveries of chips and biomass.
  • Track the daily species mix in deliveries.
  • Follow up daily with transportation companies to obtain missing documentation.
  • Monitor daily mill consumption.
  • Analyze daily fibre quality reports.

Monthly responsibilities

  • Update monthly pricing.
  • Prepare and follow up on end-of-month manual invoicing.
  • Update the supplier and carrier performance dashboard.
  • Ensure all pending transactions are documented at period end.
  • Send weekly delivery schedules.
  • Monitor off‑site inventory levels.
  • Work with Corporate Accounts Payable to resolve supplier‑related issues.
  • Distribute supplier statements as needed.
  • Calculate waiting times.
  • Track and reconcile fibre exchanges.
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Collect monthly data on certified fibre percentages.
  • Track certified fibre volumes by certification type.
  • Lead or participate in departmental projects.
  • Monitor bark sales and prepare related invoicing.

AD HOC TASKS

  • Publish the weekly OBG report.
  • Maintain Power BI reports and collaborate with users and support teams to enhance existing reports and develop new ones.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of automated report distributions.
  • Update pricing forms for procurement and transportation contracts.
  • Update and validate contract-related information in BPAL.
  • Obtain required documentation for creating or updating supplier profiles in BPAL.
  • Issue non-conformance notices to suppliers.
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding administrative requests.
  • Work with mills and carriers on issues related to loads, BPAL, reporting, quality, payments, and more.
  • Draft and distribute communications to suppliers.
  • Perform BPAL system testing as needed.
  • Support all aspects of the traceability chain (FSC, SFI, PEFC, EUDR).
  • Organize and actively participate in annual audits (FSC, SFI, PEFC).
  • Plan and conduct aerial survey analyses.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Cegep diploma in administration or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft tools, database management).
  • Knowledge of the forest sector, certification processes, or pulp and paper operations is considered is preferable.

SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Excellent analytical, communication.
  • Organized and reliable, detail-oriented, and thorough.
  • Team player, able to manage priorities.

LANGUAGES

  • Advanced bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written.

Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them.
