About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The SFA will play a key role in supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, and business partnership across the organization. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to interpret financial results, create dashboards, and provide insights that drive better decisions and improved performance.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and financial modeling skills, comfort working with large data sets, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead and support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Partner with departments to validate assumptions, identify risks/opportunities, and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages with clear, actionable insights.

Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis

  • Analyze financial performance versus budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Identify key drivers and trends; communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support month-end close in collaboration with Accounting to ensure accurate reporting.

Business Case Development & Decision Support

  • Build financial models and business cases for new products, pricing, cost initiatives, and capital investments.
  • Evaluate ROI, payback, and sensitivities to support decision-making.

Business Partnership

  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Planning, Marketing, and Supply Chain to provide financial guidance.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights that influence decisions and improve profitability.
  • Serve as the Finance point of contact for assigned business partners.

Power BI / Dashboarding & Process Improvement

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to streamline reporting and provide timely insights.
  • Enhance KPI tracking, data structures, and automation to reduce manual effort.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes, strengthen controls, and improve financial transparency.

Cash Flow, Borrowing Base & Bank Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts to support liquidity planning.
  • Manage borrowing base calculations and support compliance with credit agreements.
  • Coordinate timely submissions to lenders in partnership with Treasury and Accounting

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or business partnering
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; CPA designation (or in progress) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and cash flow management
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills (data modeling, dashboards, variance analysis)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, NetSuite, SAP) an asset Experience in bank compliance is an asset
  • Exposure to apparel, wholesale, or retail industries is an asset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with non-financial stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
