General Job Description:

Responsible for organization and control of TG Minto pre-production system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review the customer’s master schedule and internal master schedule to develop a trial schedule that follows the program requirements.
• Coordinate schedules/timing of other departmental tasks so they correspond to the Obeya summary and Customer expectation.
• Maintain Master Parts List.
• Primary customer/supplier contact for any pre-production concerns.
• Ensure all schedule changes are clearly communicated to all required members in an accurate and time appropriate manner.
• Generate and track schedules for ECI’s, PCR’s, QTR’s and IPCR’s.
• Host weekly Departmental Meetings with responsible members from each department to understand project status and highlight concern items.
• Escalate Departmental Meeting concern items from each department to respective Managers and coordinate necessary support meetings.
• Maintain/track Obeya documents. Ensure behind status items are raised and effective countermeasures are put in place.
• Work with Eng/TPS groups to ensure pre-production trials are booked and support event orders.
• Work with PPCC Technician to understand component/raw material availability.
• Communicate current production ECI change over dates in PIT and ECOM as well as to Production. Issue PCR tags and send first order number to TMMC.
• Arrange tool shipments for ECI modifications and grain.
• Coordinate grain schedule.
• Communicate customer trial dates and requirements to TG Minto.
• Extract ECI’s from Tactis, route in Filehold and communicate to appropriate members for updates.
• Maintain ECI log.
• Request quotes and sales prices for tooling modifications.
• Calculate build ahead requirements for ECI’s, PCR’s, QTR’s and IPCR’s.
• Schedule and follow up on pre-production ECI’s, ECR’s, PCR’s and QTRs.
• Generate Build Cost Module and EMCT’s for customer reimbursement on ECI’s.
• Extract and communicate pre-production orders to PPCC Technician and Eng groups.
• Schedule meetings with customer and suppliers as needed
• Coordinate resources for pre-HVPT & HVPT trials.
• Full understanding of Supplier Quality Assurance Manual and TPS, ECI, Tactis tracking.
• Meet President’s Policy targets for PPCC.
• Work in a safe manner and maintain 5S.

Education or Experience:

• Three-year degree or college equivalent; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one as well as group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of TG MINTO.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal skills/analytical skills required to quickly respond to customer complaints.
• Must be proficient in Excel computer software. (charts, graphs, macros)
• Must be able to travel independently in and out of the country.
