##The Opportunity

The Sr. Manager, New Foods and Packaging is a full-time opportunity. This role leads the New Foods promotional business and company-wide packaging portfolio, partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Menu, Operations, Quality, and supplier partners to deliver successful, high-profile launches that drive guest count and sales. This position is highly strategic, with frequent interaction and influence across senior leadership as initiatives move through key decision points. The Sr. Manager will ensure food, beverages, and packaging initiatives meet McDonald’s quality systems and regulatory requirements, while evolving packaging to support global and local needs. This role also leads and develops a team of New Food Sourcing and Packaging professionals.

##Duties

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Own and manage the New Foods business plan, translating strategy into end-to-end sourcing and commercialization initiatives that grow guest count and sales.
  • Lead the company-wide packaging portfolio, including innovation, optimization, and lifecycle management, while progressing global and local packaging design goals.
  • Serve as the Supply Chain cross-functional lead with Marketing and Menu (and key partners across Operations, Quality, and Finance) to ensure on-time, on-cost, and in-spec product and packaging launches.
  • Lead high-profile campaigns and launch governance, preparing clear executive-ready updates, recommendations, and decision materials for senior leadership forums.
  • Ensure regulatory and quality systems alignment for new foods and packaging, including documentation, change control, supplier readiness, and compliance to applicable guidelines.
  • Partner with suppliers to deliver resilient supply, competitive cost, and continuous improvement across food and packaging, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of New Food Sourcing and Packaging professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and inclusive culture.

##Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in food and/or packaging sourcing, commercialization, product development, supply chain, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead New Products and Packaging (or fast-paced innovation) portfolios and deliver cross-functional launches from concept through execution.
  • Experience managing packaging programs, including sustainability/environmental objectives, supplier capability, cost/value optimization, and reliable cost projections.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and specification management for foods and/or packaging.
  • Proven people leadership experience, with a track record of coaching, developing, and engaging high-performing teams.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Executive presence with experience influencing and communicating with senior leaders on high-visibility, time-sensitive initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to influence across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; acts as a change leader.

Requirements:

  • May be required to travel 5% - 15% of the time.

##Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $111,999 - $159,998 CAD per year
