About the role
Responsibilities Job description:
- Plan, design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document applications to meet business requirements
- Modify and maintain existing applications
- Provide technical support to end users for applications
- Build, maintain, troubleshoot production and test web servers and database servers
- Develop applications to work with peripherals (label printers, scanners)
- Communicate with both internal and external personnel including employees and product manufacturers
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Qualifications Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Software Engineering or Software Development
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role with preference from a manufacturing environment
- ASP.NET (C# and VB.NET), Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Visual Studio and MySQL
- Web services, XML, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and CSS
- Understanding of OO techniques and relational data models
- Subversion and TFS version control
- Superb attention to detail
- Strong math skills
