Director of Product Management – EA App
Location: Canada Team: EAX - EA App Reports to: Head of Product
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Product Management to lead the evolution of the EA app—Electronic Arts’ PC and Mac storefront and game launcher — EA’s flagship PC and Mac storefront and game launcher. In this hybrid leadership role, you’ll manage a team of Product Managers while also directly shaping strategic direction and identify critical initiatives that drive platform business performance, commercial innovation, and player engagement.
You will transform strategic business objectives into a scalable product vision that will elevate EA app as a modern, scalable, and player-first destination. Your focus will be on enhancing customer acquisition and retention, and increasing conversion rates. You will partner across EA’s studios, publishing, and commercial teams to deliver business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product strategy and roadmap for the EA app across storefront, launcher, and platform services with a focus on long-term growth and expanded reach.
- Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers, both supporting and empowering them to own key product areas while fostering a strong culture of strategic thinking and outcome-driven execution.
- Translate broader strategic inputs and market opportunities into actionable goals, measurable KPIs, and cross-functional product initiatives.
- Partner with game studios, finance, analytics, design, ops, and platform engineering to align and drive cross-functional product development.
- Drive platform innovation—improving conversion, acquisition and retention, and lifetime value through experimentation, optimization, and net new growth initiatives.
- Prioritize effectively across long-term strategy and near-term deliverables; ensure alignment across leadership and teams.
- Leverage data, player insights, and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities to both optimize and grow the EA app.
- Act as a product evangelist and trusted voice at the executive level, contributing to EA-wide platform and player experience strategy.
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of product management experience with at least 2–3 years in a people leadership role.
- Proven success leading user facing application or commerce-focused products, ideally in gaming, e-commerce, or consumer tech.
- Demonstrated ability to balance player needs, business goals, and platform health to effectively achieve both near and long term objectives.
- Analytical with experience mining and leveraging data to drive decisions and measure outcomes.
- Deep understanding of telemetry systems and A/B test frameworks with ability to drive and coach best practices.
- Ability to define and coach telemetry needs, specify A|B test scenarios and
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executives and cross-functional teams.
- Strong product sense with a deep understanding of commerce mechanics, user behavior, and growth levers.
- Proven Product Management acumen with ability to scale independently and through others.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$165,900 - $238,100 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
