Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Product Innovation within the Specialty Health business unit at McKesson Canada, this role will be accountable for the overall product roadmap, including new program launches and migrations related to services provided for patients, manufacturers, providers and other strategic partners.

This position is vital for executing high-quality and innovative patient solutions that align with the Specialty Health business strategy. Responsibilities include managing large-scale digital transformation related to patient support programs and associated solutions, data migration strategy, planning, organizing, and overseeing activities related to current and future applications.

The role will involve collaborating closely with McKesson Technology and other key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of product roadmaps.

Location: 2300 Meadowvale Blvd, Mississauga, ON

Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to work on-site at least 2 days per week at our designated office location. The remaining days may be worked remotely, subject to team and business needs.

Specific Responsibilities

  • A domain expert and advocate for the patient and work with internal and external stakeholders to establish superior patient experience and help patients gain access to therapy and enabling better health outcomes.
  • Immersed in McKesson Canada's range of services, including patient support programs and tailored solutions for biopharma manufacturers, providers, and other strategic partners.
  • Serve as a primary product lead for external partners in understanding the industry trends and translate them into digital service offerings.
  • Collaborate with the business, product and McKesson Technology team to create minimally viable products, iterating based on customer behaviour to achieve market fit.
  • Build and lead a high-performing product team.
  • An influential analyst and critical thinker, able to leverage disparate data from multiple sources in decision-making.
  • Provide exceptional service by addressing business and customer needs and ensuring a seamless and positive experience, in-person and through other communication channels.
  • Support the product backlog, review user stories, and generally support the product in progressing the intended path forward with the product management/development teams so they remain unblocked.
  • Lead requirements gathering and consultations with internal stakeholders and customer needs.
  • Communicate the product vision and business needs to the respective technology teams.
  • Build rapport with product and business leads to understand their needs. Guide cross-functional and technical teams.
  • Attend scrum meetings and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Through collaboration across the business verticals, ensure the effective creation and launch of new products and services to support insights-driven business transformation.
  • Balance both business requests/needs and business value in prioritization and resolve internal competitive requirements within the organization.
  • Oversee developmental activities and implementation of new programs.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis when making critical product decisions.
  • Ensure privacy and compliance regulations and internal privacy policies are adhered to.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement for adapted operational processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in product management required.
  • 2+ years of managing and leading a team, including owning performance management, engagement/morale, development, coaching and mentoring of team members.

Key Competencies

  • Canadian healthcare/biopharma experience strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years in technology-related roles.
  • Visionary Product Leader with deep insight into biopharma trends and the ability to turn opportunities into actionable solutions.
  • Experienced Team Leader skilled in engaging cross-functional teams across all organizational levels.
  • Patient-Centric & Results-Driven, with a strong focus on improving health outcomes.
  • Market-Savvy, aware of industry, technology, and competitor trends, including internal McKesson offerings.
  • Compliance Knowledgeable, up to date on relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven success in developing and launching digital products in Canadian biopharma/healthcare, ideally within patient support programs.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Life Sciences Cloud is an asset.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of digital product economics.
  • Skilled in design thinking and customer experience design.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders in complex organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive innovation within structured environments.
  • Product management certification is preferred.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
