Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, QHSE, the Quality Advisor is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and maintaining all the mandatory aspects of TCT’s ISO9001 Quality Management System (QMS). This role has a wide-reaching responsibility requiring a high comprehension of technical and commercial functions within TCT’s business. The position requires a strong working knowledge of Quality Management principles and tools while maintaining a flexible team focused approach.
Duties:
The duties will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Take ownership of the ongoing effectiveness of the TCT ISO9001 Quality Management System elements.
- Take ownership and support all department leaders in the maintenance, review, updating, and improvement of QMS Documentation.
- Take ownership of the Continual Improvement Program to ensure improvement projects are effective and implemented across all areas of the business.
- Support the operation of the Customer Feedback process, including monitoring customer feedback and monthly metric reporting.
- Take ownership of TCT’s Internal Audit Program, including scheduling, planning, and supporting Internal Auditors throughout the process.
- Tracking and driving timely closure of Internal Audit non-conformances and the coordination of associated Corrective and Preventative actions.
- Participate in external ISO Certification, OEM and Customer audits.
- Ensure TCT’s document control and record management system is effective.
- Support the Quality Coordinator with TCT’s measuring device calibration program to ensure all such devices are properly tracked and calibrated.
- Take ownership of the non-conformance process within the TCT electronic non-conformance system.
- Assist all non-conformance owners with root cause determination, corrective actions and timely close out of non-conformances.
- Support the Quality Coordinator with maintenance and improvement of the Engine Data Management (EDM) System.
- Assist the Manager, QHSE with the preparation and execution of the annual Management Review Report and meeting.
- Assist with tracking and reporting of Quality and business performance metrics, monthly.
- Increase knowledge of HSE Policy/Manuals and maintain a positive attitude towards the health and safety of myself and my coworkers.
- Take ownership of HSE issues and demonstrate enthusiasm and support for HSE.
- Other duties as directed by the Manager, QHSE.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A technical diploma or related Quality education is highly desirable; however, a combination of education & experience will be considered.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a Quality or Engineering role.
- Previous experience in aerospace or industrial turbine industry is an asset.
- Strong comprehension and experience in ISO9001 Quality Systems.
- Trained ISO 9001 Internal or Lead Auditor will be considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing and industrial specifications and standards.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of continual improvement, process excellence and lean principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
