Job Description: Senior Allocations Analyst We are seeking an analytical and experienced Senior Allocations Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Merchandising, the Senior Allocations Analyst serves as the tactical lead for inventory distribution, bridging high-level planning and daily execution. This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of goods across a complex omni-channel network (Retail, E-commerce, and Wholesale), maximizing sales and profitability by ensuring the right product is placed in the right location at the right time, minimizing stock-outs, and driving inventory efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Allocation & Replenishment

  • Initial Allocation: Execute the initial distribution of new products and seasonal launches to stores based on sales history, store volume, capacity, and the strategic direction provided by the Merchandising team.
  • Replenishment Strategy: Manage and execute the weekly replenishment transfer orders (TOs) to maintain optimal inventory levels (presentation minimums and maximums) across all locations.
  • Order Management: Create, manage, and track Purchase Orders (POs), Transfer Orders (TOs) within the ERP system to facilitate product movement.
  • New Store & Channel Launches: Lead the initial inventory "push" for new retail locations and new sales channels.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Performance Tracking: Analyze key allocation metrics, including in-stock percentage, days of coverage (DoC), and sell-through rates, providing weekly summaries and insights.
  • Capacity Planning: Monitor store capacity constraints and presentation requirements, adjusting allocations to prevent overstock situations and ensure effective visual merchandising execution.
  • System Expert: Act as the "Super User" for the NetSuite ERP and Shopify integration, and troubleshooting data discrepancies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Warehouse & Logistics: Act as the primary liaison between the planning team and the warehouse/logistics partners to ensure receiving schedules, transfer schedules, and shipping priorities are aligned with business needs.
  • Retail Operations: Communicate upcoming allocations, shipment delays, and inventory issues directly to the Retail Operations team.
  • Merchandising Partnership: Provide feedback to the Merchandise Planner regarding demand forecasting, product performance, and opportunities for in-season inventory rebalancing.

Qualifications

  • A 3 - 5 years of experience in retail allocation or inventory planning. Experience in a fast-paced footwear/apparel industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, data modeling).
  • Experience working with Allocation and Planning software (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder, Oracle, etc.) or a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, NetSuite).
  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets, make tactical decisions quickly, and prioritize actions based on sales performance and inventory risk.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, crucial for managing system data and inventory flow.
  • Ability to see beyond the numbers to understand the impact of inventory on the customer experience and the bottom line.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and influence cross-functional partners.
