Vantage is looking for a candidate to join their team at Richmond, BC in the following role:

Position: Marketing Manager, Vantage

**Shift:**Full-time| 40 hours per week

Location: Richmond, BC

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer, with dotted line to President of Vantage

PURPOSE:

Vantage is a SaaS startup owned by WhiteWater that uses guest data to improve guest experience and operational efficiency for water and theme parks. The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in driving demand by planning, writing, measuring, and continuously refining marketing strategies that support brand growth and revenue. While Vantage’s primary go-to-market channel is currently through the WhiteWater Sales team, the role also focuses on developing and expanding strategic partnerships. As part of a small, dedicated Vantage team and the broader WhiteWater Marketing team, the Marketing Lead works closely with designers, digital, tradeshow, and web partners, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer for strategic direction while remaining fully dedicated to Vantage. This startup environment requires a motivated, self-sufficient problem solver who is comfortable working across the full marketing spectrum, from social content and product marketing to website optimization and SEO. The ideal candidate enjoys crafting clear, compelling messaging, balancing creativity with analytical thinking, and using data and testing to optimize engagement, conversion, and overall funnel performance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand development and management

  • Lead the evolution of Vantage's brand and market awareness by promoting the Vantage brand across multiple medians, Social, PR and advertising (print & digital)

    • Ensure the brand positioning is consistent and engaging across the customer journey from the website to proposals
  • Proposition testing and Competitive analysis – to assess and optimize Vantage’s messaging

  • Drive engagement with the Vantage brand growing social followers and engagement

Filling the sales pipeline and supporting the customer journey

  • Understand the buyer journey and current pain points, and which segments we see the best engagement and response to conversion.

  • build, manage and retire assets for all stages along the customer journey

  • Develop a digital lead generation strategy

  • Develop the lead generation processes and lead nurture execution through Salesforce

  • Support customer success, facilitating communications and sharing success stories and usage tips / resources.

Content development

  • Oversee the creation of new content - including (but not limited to) writing blogs, email, newsletters, website pages, landing pages designed to attract links and new readers, delivering good quality leads. (With some support within the central Marketing team eg. web development, design, long copy content)

  • Interface with key stakeholders to ensure content captures readers' interest and is accurate while promoting the brand message.

  • Oversee integrity of website content and ensure all waterpark content is updated as necessary.

  • Lead creation of effective sales materials such as brochures, datasheets, presentations, and videos etc. (With support within the central Marketing team)

  • Create and submit award entries

  • Internal communications for Vantage

Product marketing

  • Lead the development of all product marketing materials as the SaaS product evolves

  • Liaise with product manager as we develop product marketing plans (e.g. product maps & life stage management for appropriate marketing promotion)

Team

As a small and growing business, the evolution of this role will happen quickly. There may be other duties as required.

Tradeshow and event support:

  • With Tradeshow Manager, prepare and execute a plan for every show, determine exhibit components and requirements, support with both design and collaborate within marketing to assure everything required meets scheduled deadlines

  • Project Coordination - support development of collateral and graphics, manage procurement of trade show booth elements, and liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time and quality exhibit components

  • Show Logistics – prepare and submit forms within deadlines for multitude of trade show services, prepare detailed instructions for Sales Manager’s use on-site

  • Shipping Logistics – liaise with internal and external logistics specialists, coordinate, schedule, prepare and track shipments

  • Inventory Management – maintain exhibit inventory

  • Event Management - coordinate on-site events, meetings and sponsorship requirements

  • Group Housing Management – book and manage hotel room blocks at major shows

  • Record Management - maintain digital tradeshow files – include all emails, artwork, forms, contracts, invoices, and gather and file booth photos

  • Manage client event invitation lists and RSVPs

  • Trade Show Attendance – travel to shows may be required to manage install and dismantle of booth, coordinate booth activities, support sales to be as effective as possible on trade show floor and liaise with on-site show services.

  • Lead App set up, provide support for sales team, and lead loading into CRM rapidly after shows

  • Invoice & expense management – track and process invoices and credit card payments for shows and services, and help with show related expenses to facilitate effective spending and cost control

  • Trade Show Review – creating surveys and collecting feedback for all shows, and measuring ROI based on leads, brand exposure, and relationship building efforts to provide recommendations for future tradeshow investments

Asset and budget management:

  • Visual asset management

    • making sure new assets are filed and tagged on Scaura
    • ensuring rights for images are recorded on assets and customer wavers (waved image rights for usage requests) are filed
  • Co-ordinate video asset development

    • Manage visual suppliers and help manage filming trips including park access/permission and co-ordinate editing process/feedback
  • SWAG – source and maintain stock for SWAG in internal store, including brochure reprints when required

  • Review invoices, confirm costs, code, approve, track down missing or unpaid invoices with accounting

  • Coordinating monthly team reporting and metrics

Customer and industry relations:

  • Researching project details/unique angles for press releases and Manage Installation list with Project Services

    • Maintain global project list and keep up to date monthly – confirm name, address, products for use on website
    • Reach out to clients for images, approval to use park logos & testimonials
  • Maintain Professional Association memberships- maximize benefits and obtain lists

  • Buyer’s Guides / Directories – update print and online listings

  • Track all speaker opportunities and support/coordinate speaker submissions and these events

  • Back-up coverage for Reception

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Seven years of marketing experience, including strategy and digital marketing; minimum of two years of SaaS-related marketing experience.

  • Strong proficiency with social media platforms and customer engagement technologies.

  • Experience with lead nurturing, drip campaigns, and marketing automation tools.

  • Eye for visual design, with experience using tools such as InDesign and Figma.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and/or the United States.
