Dispatcher
SOUTHLAND Transportation is excited to be expanding into Regina for the 2025 - 2026 school year and is currently hiring a part-time Dispatcher to join our growing team! Available shift is 6:30 am to 11:30 am.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch of school bus and van drivers to ensure routes run smoothly and safely
- Monitor vehicle activity using GPS systems (e.g., Zonar) and communicate real-time updates to the team
- Post route delays using BusPlanner to keep families and schools informed
- Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, relaying updates, route adjustments, or emergency information
- Track attendance, vehicle coverage, and report any concerns to Operations
- Assist with scheduling charters and responding to public or driver inquiries
- Support new driver onboarding through route briefings and orientation
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and promote consistency and fairness across the team
- Perform general office duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in dispatch or logistics preferred (school bus experience is an asset)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay calm and think clearly in time-sensitive situations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Zonar (real-time monitoring) and BusPlanner (late notifications) is an asset
- Local knowledge of Regina and surrounding areas
- Commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
