YB Services is seeking a motivated Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. This is a full-time position and an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the trades and gain hands-on experience in the heavy equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard

• Organize and care for shop tools and equipment

• Assist experienced technicians with maintenance and repairs

• Perform minor repair tasks under supervision

• Move equipment in and out of the shop as needed

• Pick ups and deliveries around Yellowknife

• Perform physically demanding tasks safely

• Complete other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

• Strong work ethic, safety orientated, and a positive attitude

• Mechanically inclined with an eagerness to learn

• Ability to use computers to complete work orders and reports
