Belong to Something Beautiful

At Sephora Canada, beauty is about feeling seen, valued, and empowered, individually and collectively. It is connecting deeply with others, celebrating diversity and inclusivity, unlocking your potential and making a difference every day. Together, we belong to something beautiful.  Ready for a career glow-up? As the Director, Insights & Analytics, you will define the strategy for commercial forecasting, business insights, and analytics that drive decision-making across Sephora Canada. You'll transform complex data into actionable insights, helping shape priorities across pricing, promotions, loyalty, client engagement, and overall business growth.   Partnering with senior leaders across Retail, Ecommerce, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and North America, you'll uncover opportunities, influence key decisions, and ensure data remains at the heart of how we grow and serve our clients. We're looking for a strategic and commercially minded analytics leader who can turn data into compelling stories, build trusted partnerships, and inspire high-performing teams. You bring executive presence, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of translating insights into measurable business impact.

What You'll Do

Commercial Forecasting & Business Insights

Lead the development of sales forecasting strategies and methodologies that support planning, budgeting, and business growth. Translate sales performance data into actionable insights on key business drivers, including traffic, conversion, promotions, product launches, marketing initiatives, and competitive activity. Partner with Planning, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to develop aligned, data-driven forecasts and recommendations. Monitor market, competitive, and consumer trends to anticipate opportunities, risks, and emerging business needs.

Data Analytics & Strategic Decision Support

Deliver executive-ready insights that inform commercial, promotional, loyalty, and client strategies. Develop analytical frameworks that measure business performance, incrementality, and the impact of strategic initiatives. Lead market share, competitive intelligence, pricing, and performance analyses to support growth opportunities and key business decisions. Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making through experimentation, statistical analysis, and evidence-based insights.

Analytics Transformation & Operational Excellence

Define the vision, roadmap, operating model, and priorities for the Insights & Analytics function. Build scalable analytics capabilities, reusable data assets, and automated reporting solutions that improve decision-making and business performance. Establish governance, prioritization frameworks, and trusted sources of truth that drive consistency and efficiency across the organization. Lead the strategic adoption of AI-powered analytics capabilities and partner with North American teams to scale innovative solutions responsibly and effectively.

Strategic Partnership & Leadership

Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leaders across Canada and North America. Influence strategic decisions through clear recommendations, executive-level storytelling, and data-backed trade-offs. Partner closely with Corporate Strategy and cross-functional leaders to connect insights with business priorities and long-term growth objectives. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

What You'll Bring

You have 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, consulting, market research, or related fields, including 5+ years leading high-performing teams. You have a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field; an MBA or Master's degree is considered an asset. You have a proven ability to translate complex data into compelling insights and recommendations that influence executive decision-making. You have experience building, scaling, and evolving analytics capabilities in retail, ecommerce, consumer goods, or other fast-paced, customer-focused environments. You have demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. You have strong business acumen and can navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and make sound decisions in complex environments. You have experience leveraging competitive, market, customer, and operational data to identify opportunities and shape business strategy. You have experience working with market intelligence and industry data sources such as Circana, Nielsen, NPD/IRI, or similar tools. You have advanced technical expertise in SQL, data modelling, business intelligence platforms, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or similar technologies. You have advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to communicate insights effectively to executive audiences. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for solving complex business challenges through data and analytics. You have a track record of fostering high-performing teams and creating environments where talent can grow, innovate, and thrive.
