Position Summary
Provide quality service for the Cliffside Restaurant as well as assisting the Food and Beverage Director and other staff with the day-to-day responsibilities of the department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide Members & Guests with exceptional Food & Beverage service.
- Deliver the best possible guest experience, while being a team player.
- Always ensure that guests with special requests are recognized and attended to with pleasure.
- Be aware of guests’ alcohol consumption and notify a supervisor pf any signs of intoxication.
- Ensure that all members and guests have a positive experience at Muskoka Bay Resort by ensuring a superior level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Provide assistance with banquet set up, service and breakdown.
- Maintain clean and presentable server areas.
- Side duties as required. Ie: restocking, setting up and closing of patio, polishing of glassware and silverware
Skills, AbilitIes, attributes
- Guest focused with a sincere, helpful, caring and friendly personality.
- Able to take initiative within given guidelines.
- Pays precise attention to detail, order and cleanliness.
- Has high energy, flexibility and professionalism.
- Enjoys offering exceptional service and meeting the needs of others.
- Effective communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
- Able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, otherwise move objects.
- Be professional in appearance and approach responsibilities in an organized & energetic manner.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Friendly, outgoing demeanor.
- Knowledge of beer, wine & spirits and proper service techniques.
- Computer literate: experience with P.O.S. systems an asset.
- Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Smart Serve Required
- Previous F&B experience at a property of similar size and luxury status.
