Warehouse and Purchasing Clerk Reports To: General Manager and/or Operations Manager
Status : Full-time, Regular
Location Name : Classic Fireplace
Location Address : Calgary, AB
Join the team of experts and realize your true potential! Position Summary The Warehouse and Purchasing Clerk is accountable for the day-to-day staging of all installations and accurate accounting of inventory through the system.
Key Responsibilities
- Ordering parts/equipment/supplies related to the business.
- Shipping and receiving parts/equipment/supplies including equipment returns from customers, returns contractors and employees.
- Inputting, recording, ordering, maintaining, intercepting, movement (replenishment, PO’s, etc.) of parts/equipment/supplies against inventory requirements using system/reports based on requirements outlined in the system/reports.
- Staging of parts/equipment/supplies for pickup as required.
- Assisting with inventory counts and parts/equipment recycling.
- Pickup and delivery of parts/equipment/supplies as required.
- Operation of a fork lift and/or clamp truck (if applicable).
- General clean-up of the warehouse, office area and outside yard, including minor snow removal required to maintain a safe working environment.
- Occasionally may need to travel and work from other locations.
- Must be available for “stand by” requests in emergency circumstances.
- This position will typically work alone or with one other person ensuring coverage is maintained at the facility during operating hours.
Qualifications
- The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Previous PC based experience (Excel).
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License with an appropriate Driver’s Abstract.
- Must have a valid Forklift Operator License (if applicable).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Able to perform lifting up to 23 kg.
- Previous inventory control experience preferred.
- Previous experience with core systems is preferred.
- Must maintain the required licensing (ie. Forklift) to complete work required.
- Proven commitment to the delivery of customer-focused service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently and without supervision.
- Results-oriented, achieving high levels of individual and team performance.
- The ability to work occasional overtime and weekend hours as required.
- The successful incumbent must be able to meet the minimum requirements for our background check criteria.
