About the role

The Government of Canada (CANADA) is contracting Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) to directly procure equipment for the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Land Based Test Capability (LBTC) which initially includes the Common Computing Environment (CCE) and Advanced Synthetic Environment Tool Suite (SETS) for the Combat System Integration Lab (CSIL) shore-based facility at Maritime Advanced Test and Training Site (MATTS) along with the Canadian Tactical Interface (CTI Lite) to be delivered to the Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) shore-based facility in Moorestown New Jersey. It is anticipated that this will be expanded to also include the procurement of the underwater equipment for the MATTS CSIL lab under this same contract and delivery of a CCE solution to the Land Based Test Facility (LBTF) via separate contract also yet to be awarded. The purpose of this role is to act as the primary Test and Evaluation (T&E) technical lead to these procurement contracts and ensure productization, procurement, delivery, and acceptance of this equipment to meet test and trials timelines for these facilities.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

  • CSIL and CSEDS Equipment Procurement and Delivery:
  • Responsible for overall technical compliance and successful delivery, installation, and acceptance of:
  • CSIL CCE and ASETS to CSIL lab at MATTS
  • CTI Lite in Moorestown NJ
  • Work with Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Underwater equipment providers to obtain updated pricing for land-based test equipment planned for CSIL and prepare/submit a Contract Change Proposal (CCP) to authorize procurement. Once authorized, ensure timely procurement and delivery of underwater equipment to the CSIL at MATTS.
  • LBTF CCE Equipment Procurement and Delivery:
  • Act as technical lead for LBTF CCE equipment contract Request for Proposal (RFP) response to CANADA
  • Responsible for overall technical compliance and successful delivery, installation, and acceptance of LBTF CCE equipment to the LBTF at Hartlen Point upon contract award
  • Program technical point of contact for Project Management (PM) team as well as customer technical leads
  • Responsible for providing technical status
  • Provides guidance/direction to technical teams and ensures on-time delivery of products
  • Reviews and internally approves all technical deliverables
  • Works with other organizations, such as production and security, for build and delivery of products.

What you bring to the role

  • Previous experience in successfully leading a multi-disciplined team require
  • Previous experience with process with internal production and delivery of equipment is require
  • Previous experience with product acceptance is required
  • Must be conformable with customer engagement and managing customer expectations
  • Previous knowledge with the CSC CCE shipboard design or design of the CSC underwater solution is desirable
  • Experience in working with subsystem vendors and supply chain is an asset Previous experience with equipment installation, and facility requirements is desirable
  • Previous CAM experience is desirable.
