Brockport Home Systems Ltd. is seeking a strategic and experienced Production Planner to join our team in Toronto. Reporting to the Production Planning Supervisor, the Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and supporting production planning activities to ensure the efficient and timely execution of manufacturing operations. This role develops and maintains production schedules, monitors workflow, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure materials, resources, and production requirements are aligned to meet customer delivery commitments and operational objectives. Key Responsibilities: Create and implement plans to make the most efficient use of supplies, labor, and equipment in order to reach production goals. Optimize, organize, direct, control and assess the activities of manufacturing operations in the production department to ensure the project completed on time and within the budget. Plan and implement the organization of the data to ensure machinery and equipment efficiency, according to a technique of work. Evaluate the design files to assure quality standards of the production product, report any discrepancy to the design team. Meet regularly with other production planners, warehouse, production supervisors, purchasing and inventory staff to coordinate activities between warehouse and production departments. Develop and maintain various reports, work in progress, materials use, production milestones, manual or data system. Edit and create equipment machine files to facilitate accurate and efficient automation. Estimate type and quantity of materials required for production, construction and other projects. Ensure compliance with company quality standards, health and safety policies, and established operating procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve planning processes, workflow efficiency, and production performance. Qualifications: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in production planning, production support, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D technical drawings and manufacturing documentation. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in the prefabricated construction, building products, or manufacturing industry. Experience with SharePoint and production planning software. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles. Experience with capacity planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting. Physical Requirements: This role is based primarily at Brockport Home Systems' manufacturing facility in Etobicoke, Ontario. The position involves working in a manufacturing environment and may include: Prolonged periods of standing or walking on the production floor. Occasional lifting of materials or equipment as required. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas of the facility.
