About the role

Position Description

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure-stream position in Experimental Physical Chemistry. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2024, or shortly thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an innovative, independent research program in experimental physical chemistry.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemistry.
  • Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
  • Contribute to the academic life of the department and the university.

Qualifications

Required

  • A PhD in Chemistry or a related field.
  • A strong record of research accomplishments in experimental physical chemistry.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence at the university level.

Preferred

  • Postdoctoral experience.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary research.
  • A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching and research.
