About the role
Edison Properties has been a property management company for over 50 years’ with over 5000 residential suites across Winnipeg ranging from cozy bachelor suites to luxurious penthouses. We are looking for an experienced Tile Setter to join our team for residential building renovations in multi-family apartment buildings. This position includes tile installation along with general finishing work such as baseboard installation, drywall taping, sanding, and caulking.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to complete high-quality work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Install wall and floor tile (ceramic, porcelain, stone)
- Measure, cut, and properly lay tile
- Install baseboards and trim
- Perform drywall finishing including taping, mudding, and sanding
- Apply caulking and sealants for a clean finished appearance
- Prepare surfaces for tile and finishing work
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work with team members to complete projects on schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years’ experience with tile installation
- Experience with drywall taping, mudding, and sanding
- Experience in residential renovations or new construction preferred
- Ability to install baseboards and trim
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience reading measurements and basic plans
- Knowledge of different tile setting methods and materials
- Basic carpentry skills
