About Our Opportunity

As the Network Analyst (CSO 3) you will work on the day-to-day network tasks and provide assistance to the network support team. You will have overall responsibility for the analysis, development and implementation of mission critical networking projects.

Primary Accountabilities

Being one of the network analysts, you will help the support team to:

  • Analyze, clarify and transfer business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Implement network solutions based on the Government’s technology, security and architecture standards.
  • Configure and install Cisco Wi-Fi, switches and routers products.
  • Configure and troubleshoot of EIGRP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, etc.
  • Configure layer 2 & 3 protocols, including, TCP/IP, Spanning Tree, VLAN, QOS, etc.
  • Work on different networking technologies (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, LDAP, SMB, SSH, VPN, NAT, IPSec, VoIP, etc.).
  • Work with IT vendors on networking orders.
  • Lead networking projects from start to end.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network and infrastructure/UPS systems.
  • Work with other IT groups to meet their technical needs.
  • Solve problems and issues reported by business clients.
  • Set priorities in cooperation with the manager.
  • Meet project deadlines.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus 3 years related experience in the network technology, or graduation from a recognized Information Technology Program plus 3 years and 6 months related experience in the network technology. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. A CCNA certification would be considered an asset.

Ideally, you must have a proven record and ability to develop, maintain, and support a complex network infrastructure. You will be flexible and adaptable to ever changing priorities and legacy & new technologies. You should be extensively knowledgeable and highly skilled in Cisco (LAN, WAN,WLAN ) and preferably in Cisco ISE, (Knowledge in layer 2 & 3 protocols including, TCP/IP, Spanning Tree, VLAN, OSPF, and BGP, etc.).

You must demonstrate a high degree of logical problem-solving ability with well-developed oral and written communication skills. You should have experience in Project Management and Change Management and working on ticketing systems. You must also demonstrate that you can lead and contribute to an IT support team by working on multiple tasks at the same time and work well with people.

We will assess the above qualifications and experience using tools such as assessments, presentations, interviews, reference checks, etc.

Working Conditions

  • Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day
  • May be required to work overtime on occasion
  • Required to be on standby and part of an on-call rotation.
  • A driving license and a vehicle are required for traveling to the clients’ sites within the province.
  • This position may require frequent traveling to different sites within the Northern zone.
